What is GMGames.org?
About GMGames.org - Founded in 2011, GM Games is a game review organization oriented to non-arcade sports games. Our visitors are a community with the dream of becoming a 'Sports General Manager'. GM Games is inclusive of all team sports that require a successful General Manager to shape the direction towards a championship franchise. General Manager based games have been created on multiple platforms that simulate reality with a role playing experience. GM Games is inclusive and encourages growth of all developments and companies designing games to best simulate this reality experience. With GM Games - there is no longer the confusion to find reputable reviews at a website oriented towards arcade console gaming. GMGames.org is the source for Game News, Discussion, Developer Blogs, Online League News and building your General Manager reputation on our social network.
Why was GMGames.org created?
For many years now - there have been talented developers putting in hard work to bring General Managing games in a turn-based format. Almost every sport has had someone with the desire and vision to put a great strategy game on the map.
Even though there has always been a loyal community of fans, it often took a lot of work or word of mouth to find out about a great new GM simulation game. Pockets of people would end up on the game sites of the creators, or would get the odd review on Operation Sports or IGN. Unfortunately Operation Sports and IGN remains so focused on console gaming that simulation game news was so far buried it was almost impossible to find. Nor was the information kept up to date.
What is lacking out there - is a central repository for all GM Simulation Games information in an easy one-stop location to get the information we want. Finally after years of wishing, GMGames.org is here.
Why is GMGames.org more unique than the other simulation websites?
GMGames.org is oriented towards both the developers and the end-user. GMG will provide developers an area where they interact with a loyal and knowledgeable fan base. They can share their game information and learn about the desires of their end user community. They can also review innovative ideas from other sports and games that may be applicable to their own games.
For developers, GMGames.org is not focused on one sport in particular. In fact, most GM Games players are Sports fans in general. Many users cross-pollinate to play other simulation games. The best games seem to stick around on someone's computer , with multiple hours of usage.
For users of GMGames.org, we provide a community to join leagues, create a GM network to locate other GM's who have the same interest in the games you do.
We also have some of the most knowledgeable simulation users. Questions that a developer could ask themselves - is offline the way to go or is building an online game portal the future of the industry? Is there a market for handheld GM Games?
If you want to know about what is happening next in different sports for many simulation games, GMGames.org is your source for that information.
What can I do for GMGames.org?
We now have an area that lists our contributors and how to apply. The best you can do for us, is tell us if we are missing a great simulation game on GMGames.org! Sharing information about the community is what we want. Please join us on the forum and on the GM Network to share your findings and inspire a new generation of GM Games players.
